Spring concerts by the IEMA Ensemble 2021/22

At the end of March, the IEMA Ensemble 2021/22 performs three spring concerts featuring a broad spectrum of compositions dated 1965 to 2022. On the first evening, large-scale works by George Benjamin and György Ligeti are juxtaposed with younger compositions by Magnus Lindberg and Ann Cleare. The second evening features the most recent works: compositions by Tania León, who is also featured in ›Afro-Modernism in Contemporary Music‹, and Mark Andre are juxtaposed with the world premiere of ›Proteus Reflexions II‹ by the IEMA composer Pablo Garretón. The third concert is dedicated to chamber music works by Brian Ferneyhough, Beat Furrer, Philipp Hurel, Iannis Xenakis and Mauricio Kagel.
