Patryk Szczechowski, percussion
Patryk Szczechowski (born in 2002 in Radom, Poland) is a percussionist based in Frankfurt am Main. He began his percussion studies at the age of seven under Barbara Galas in Radom and later studied with Prof. Stanisław Skoczyński. He completed his bachelor’s degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, studying with Jakob Weber, Anders Kann Elten and David Hildebrandt. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts under the guidance of Emil Kuyumcuyan.
Patryk performs regularly as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player in concerts and music theatre productions. He has worked with the Frankfurt Opera, the Staatstheater Darmstadt, and festivals such as the Rheingau Musik Festival.
His competition achievements include prizes at the International Music Competition in Belgrade, the Italian Percussion Competition in Montesilvano, and various national percussion competitions in Poland.
His artistic focus lies in solo projects, contemporary music, and the development of his own compositions and chamber music programmes.
Patryk Szczechowski is a fellow of the GVL – the German Organisation for the Management of Neighbouring Rights.
