Gleb Sidaruk, cello

Gleb Sidaruk (born in Belarus in 2000) began playing the cello at the age of six. During his school years, he received prizes at several international competitions.

In 2018, Gleb began his studies at the Lucerne School of Music (HSLU), where he completed a bachelor’s degree (in the class of Prof. Guido Schiefen), a Master of Performance (classes of Prof. Claudius Herrmann and Prof. Ditta Rohmann), and a Master Interpretation in Contemporary Music (in the class of Prof. Erik Borgir). During his studies at HSLU, Gleb worked with composers such as Lisa Streich, Beat Furrer, Sarah Nemtsov, Ricardo Nova, Marco Stroppa and Francesca Verunelli.

Gleb has performed as a soloist and chamber musician at KKL Luzern, in the new concert hall of the Mariinsky Theatre, in the Big Concert Hall and the Small Concert Hall at the Belarusian State Philharmonic, and in the Small Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonia. He has also participated twice in the Portrait Concerts of the Composer in Residence during the Lucerne Festival, in 2024 and 2025.
