Ingvild Ness, flute

Ingvild Ness studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music with Prof. Trond Magne Brekka and Tom Ottar Andreassen, before continuing her studies the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under Anna Dina Bjørn Larsen. Her experience in orchestral and chamber music includes performances with the Norwegian National Radio Orchestra, NDR Radiophilharmonie Hanover and an internship with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie. In 2021, she won first prize with the Trio Bris at the 20th Friedrich Kuhlau International Flute Competition.

She has appeared at several festivals such as Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival, the 180°Festival in Sofia, and the Bayer Start Festival in Leverkusen. Actively engaged in the interdisciplinary arts scene, she regularly participates in projects combining music, dance, and visual media.

Ingvild Ness is a fellow of the GVL – the German Organisation for the Management of Neighbouring Rights.
