Miria Sailer, Violin
Miria Sailer, a versatile and passionate orchestral and ensemble musician in many different ensembles, studied at the music academies in Hanover, Nürnberg and Würzburg. She regularly plays at the Heidenheim Opera Festival, with ensemble reflector, the Nürnberg Symphony Orchestra, the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic and the Kammerakademie Potsdam, among others. She is a member and leader of the second violins of the Symphony Orchestra of Vorarlberg, where she participates regularly in symphonic concerts and presents the contemporary music and literature festival ›Texte und Töne‹. She has also appeared as a concertmaster and leader in the orchestral academies at the 2021 and 2022 Grafenegg Festival and the 2021 Lucerne Festival. Since then, she has been a member of the Lucerne Festival Contemporary Orchestra, whose artistic focus is on contemporary symphonic repertoire and interdisciplinary ensemble projects and programmes. This was also the focus with which Miria Sailer won the international musical dramaturgy competition ›Hugo‹ with ensemble fraktale. Musical and artistic collaborations dating back to this time continue to result in performances with actors and actresses, dancers, jazz musicians, sound and light designers and composers. She is very interested in ground-breaking formats for concerts today, and she has written an academic publication on the »classicality« of classical concerts. She received inspiration from mentors and colleagues including Ulf Klausenitzer (violin), Oliver Wille (Kuss Quartet), Folkert Uhde (Radialsystem Berlin/ concert design), Reto Bieri (clarinet / chamber music), and Boglárka Peczke (clarinet / arts management).
