Jeanne Degos, Oboe
After several years at the Regional Conservatory of Boulogne Billancourt, Jeanne Degos studied with Diethelm Jonas at the Lübeck Music Academy. Since her childhood, she has been interested in all forms of art and expression, but specialized in music. She has tried to build a large spectrum of competencies, playing percussion, jazz, baroque oboe and electronic music. For two years she was the principal oboist of the DFO Orchestra in Paris and in several opera productions. She is also the oboist of the ensemble Le Bestiaire, the trio Les chevaliers gambettes and the quartet Katrof, which gave her the chance to participate in several projects in France while also organizing chamber music concerts in Germany. From baroque to contemporary music, her projects stage current social issues without moralizing; instead, they arouse curiosity and emphasize the absurdity of our current situation. Jeanne Degos combines visual and auditive art, taking her audience into a different crazy world every time.
