Jieun Lee, Clarinet
Jieun Lee was born in South Korea and began playing the clarinet at the age of ten. From 2013 to 2016 she studied at Chung-Ang University in Korea. Since 2017 she has studied with Joachim Klemm for a Master’s degree at the Dresden Academy of Music. Jieun Lee has appeared as a soloist with the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chung-Nam Symphony Orchestra and the Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue. She is a winner of numerous competitions, e.g. the King’s Peak Competition, the wind competition of the Seoul National University, the Haneum Competition, the Lee Woohyun Scholarship Competition and the competition Jugend Instrumental. In 2018 she participated in a master course with Emma Johnson.
