Elena Cappelletti, Cello
An enthusiastic chamber music player, Elena Cappelletti performs regularly as member of the young emerging Alauda Quartet, with whom she held a chamber music fellowship at the Royal Academy of Music in 2014, awarded by the Leverhulme Trust. Together with the Alauda Quartet, she was nominated as a Park Lane Group and Making Music Artist in London in 2015-2016. In addition to their busy schedule in the UK, the Alauda Quartet have enjoyed performing at various music festivals across Europe, Asia and North America. The Alauda Quartet was awarded first prize at the Antonelli Chamber Music Competition in Italy and a special prize at the Orlando International Chamber Music Festival and Competition in the Netherlands. In 2019 Elena Cappelletti was the recipient of the Loiacono Cello Prize scholarship in Italy and was awarded the associateship of the Royal Academy of Music in London (ARAM). Elena Cappelletti has worked with various orchestras across the UK and Italy, including the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Orchestra del San Carlo di Napoli, Fondazione Teatro Lirico Petruzzelli in Bari and the City Chamber Orchestra in London. In 2015 she was selected for the Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra in Switzerland. She graduated with a Master of Arts from the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire in Milano. In 2019 she completed a postgraduate programme in performance teaching and pedagogy at the Guildhall School for Music and Drama in London.
