Veronika Paleeva, Violin
Veronika Paleeva was born in Esslingen in 1995 into a Ukrainian family of musicians. She received her first violin at the age of two, began learning the instrument and shortly thereafter became Ulrike Abdank’s student in the class for highly gifted students at Stuttgart’s Music School. Since her childhood, she has won numerous national and international competitions and regularly played as a soloist with orchestras. In 2008 Veronika Paleeva became a junior student with Judith Ingolfsson at the Stuttgart Music Academy, moving on to study with Herwig Zack at the Würzburg Music Academy as a guest before completing her bachelor’s degree with him as well. During this time, she worked intensively with composition students at the Academy and their work, which had a long-term influence on her development. She also studied baroque violin with Pauline Nobes. This combination brought her to pursue a master’s degree with Ariadne Daskalakis at the Cologne Academy of Music and Dance, where she worked with composers both as a soloist and as a chamber music artist. Veronika Paleeva is currently a member of ensemble reflector and 069+, and has played with the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and the junge norddeutsche philharmonie as a concertmaster. Tours have taken her to the Elbphilharmonie, Berlin’s Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Vienna’s Musikverein and to tours of Asia, Turkey and Europe. She has worked with such renowned artists such as Ingo Metzmacher, Thomas Klug, Jonathan Nott, Jörg Widmann, Helmut Lachenmann and the Jack Quartet.
