Riccardo Acciarino, Clarinet
The multifaceted musician Riccardo Acciarino moves between opposite musical genres, playing clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone and piano. He graduated from the Verdi Conservatory in Milan with full marks and honours. He won national and international competitions, including the 2019 Milan Conservatory Award as the best wind instrument player of the institution. Riccardo Acciarino’s international concert career ranges from solo instrument performances to orchestral ones. He has been played with some of the best orchestra conductors (such as Daniele Gatti, Daniele Rustioni, Yoichi Sugiyama etc.) playing with leading youth and professional orchestras (Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali, Symphony Orchestra of the Milan Conservatory etc.). Extremely active on the contemporary music scene, he has worked with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann, Azio Corghi, Beat Furrer, Giacomo Manzoni, Francesco Filidei, Luca Francesconi etc. always winning approval, including the times when he worked with some of the most important contemporary ensembles such as Divertimento Ensemble, MDI Ensemble, Syntax Ensemble etc. In 2019 the composer Simone Cardini dedicated the piece for solo bass clarinet ›Respiro, Aneliti‹ to him, which he premiered in the Rondò 2019 season of Divertimento Ensemble. He has performed international premieres by composers such as Niccolò Castiglioni, Emanuel Pimenta, Diana Soh etc. and has recorded CDs, DVDs and radio programmes with Limen Music, Stradivarius, RAI, Compagnia Colla, Awen Films, and the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan. Riccardo Acciarino regularly collaborates with national and international festivals and associations for solo recitals and chamber/orchestral programs of all kind. Among the most important are the Pontino Festivals, Morellino Festival, Società Del Quartetto, Milano Musica, Società Umanitaria, La Società dei Concerti, MITO, Fondation Franz Liszt, Ambrosoli Foundation, Klangspuren Schwaz Festival etc.
