Noah Rosen, Percussion
American percussionist Noah Rosen is an active musician who is equally comfortable playing in solo, chamber, and orchestral settings. He has played with orchestras such as the London Symphony, Boston Philharmonic, Brookline Symphony, and New England Philharmonic in many of the world’s finest venues; including Berlin Philharmonie, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, New York’s Carnegie Hall, the Paris Philharmonie, and Boston’s Symphony Hall. He has worked under many esteemed conductors, including Sir Simon Rattle, Matthias Pintscher, and Peter Eötvös, as well as soloists Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Alisa Weilerstein, and Natalia Gutman. Noah Rosen is also a passionate performer of new music, having collaborated with members of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE) and Alea III, as well as with composers Mario Davidovsky, Nico Muhly, Julian Anderson, and Pierre Jalbert, among others. He is a founding member of the KITA Duo, a voice and percussion duo with Soprano Felicia Chen. He has helped premiere the works of dozens of composers both as a soloist and as an ensemble member. His summer engagements have included fellowships at the Lucerne Festival Academy, the Contemporary Performance Institute at Composers Conference, and the Atlantic Music Festival, as well as participation at Klangspuren Schwaz SICPP, Chosen Vale Percussion Seminar, Zeltsman Marimba Festival, and Bowdoin Music Festival. Noah Rosen received his bachelor's degree with honours at the Boston Conservatory studying with Sam Solomon, Nancy Zeltsman, Kyle Brightwell, and Doug Perkins.
