Martin Pérénom, Piano
Born in 1994 in Paris/France, Martin Pérénom began to study the piano at the age of twelve. After two years at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional (CRR) of Paris and three years at the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt in the class of Marie-Paule Siruguet, where he also studied composition with Jean-Luc Hervé, electroacoustic composition with Yan Maresz and Analysis with Alain Louvier, he decided not to follow the usual path to the Conservatory in Paris. At the age of eighteen he moved to Germany in order to continue his studies with Florence Millet at the Academy of Music and Dance in Cologne/Wuppertal and completed his bachelor’s degree there.
Between 2010 and 2012, he was the pianist of the Ensemble OpusXXI under the leadership of Jeanne-Marie Conquer and Jean-Luc Menet and worked with many composers, including Gérard Pesson, Raphaël Cendo, George Aperghis and Michael Levinas. During the 2017/18 season he was the artist in residence at the Galerie Hus in Paris, in collaboration with the mathematician and artist Laurent Derobert.
