IEMA Ensemble’s Spring Concerts

Electronic sound production, spatial compositions, elements of improvisation and staging, new sounds and 20th century “classics”: once again, this spring the IEMA Ensemble 2014/15 presents a multitude of different compositions from the past 70 years in five concerts at the Frankfurt am Main Academy of Music and Performing Arts and at the ZKM Karlsruhe (March 21 to 29). The spectrum ranges from Mauricio Kagel to Oliver Knussen, Samuel Beckett, Steve Reich, Thomas Adès, Robert HP Platz and Vito Žuraj, all the way to the world premiere of a new composition of the IEMA composition fellow Sergej Maingardts. On March 1 (at 3 pm) the IEMA Ensemble makes an appearance at the Wiesbaden State Theatre, as part of the concert series “Music-Theater-Laboratory”.
