Ayumi Mita, Oboe

Ayumi Mita, born in Nagoya, Japan, studied at Nagoya University from 2002 to 2006. After that she performed with the Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra and the Central Aichi Symphony Orchestra in Japan. In 2008 she continued her studies in Germany at the Music Academy in Detmold with Brigitte Horlitz, Joszef Kiss and Michael Sieg (cor anglais). In 2014 she completed these studies with a Master’s degree. She has repeatedly participated in master classes with Ingo Goritzki, Matthias Bäcker and Christian Hommel.
Her diverse and frequent concert activities include her participation in the Baroque Academy Detmold and the wind ensemble Gran Partita Detmold as well as appearances at the Detmold State Theatre during the 2011/12 season. In 2012 she was also a member of the Orff Academy of the Munich Radio Symphony Orchestra and performed at the Broadcasting House in Cologne as part of the feature WDR3 Open Auditions. Since 2013 she has been the second oboist of the Philharmonie der Nationen.
