Diego Ramos Rodriguez, Violin, Composer

Diego was born in Madrid in 1989. In 2010 he concluded his violin and composition studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Madrid.
2010 to 2012 he studies at the Robert Schumann University Düsseldorf in the classes of Manfred Trojahn (composition) and Andreas Krecher (violin).
Diego also studied with Olga Vilkomirskaia, Latica Honda-Rosenberg, Robert Davidovici, Casals stringquartett and Mannheimer stringquartett.
He has much experiences in playing orchestra, for example JONDE, MusikFabrik, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and he cooperated with conductors like Lutz Köhler, Josep Pons, Christian Zacharias, Gustavo Dudamel, Pascal Rophe or Esa Pekka Salonen.
Diegos compositions are performed in Alicante during the festival of contemporary music, in Düsseldorf (lange Nacht der neuen Musik) or in Maastricht.
He won a lot of prizes, like Frederic Mompou Award, »Flora Prieto« of RCSMM or »Promocion de Estrenos para Jovenes Compositores«.
Diego Ramos Rodriguez was a sholar in the International Ensemble Modern Academy for Violin in 2012/2013 and currecntly holds a scholar for composition.
