Imri Talgam has performed throughout the world, including Finland, Germany, Belgium, Spain, the Ukraine, Britain and the U.S. He has appeared in venues such as Salle Pleyel, KKL Luzern, Alice Tully hall, Kiev's Ukraine hall, both as soloist and in collaboration with leading ensembles, among others under Pierre Boulez, Peter Eötvös, Zsolt Nagy etc. In Israel he has appeared as soloist with several major orchestras, including, among others, the Haifa Symphony orchestra and the ISO. Imri is very active in performance of contemporary music, collaborating with groups such as the Axiom ensemble and the Israeli Contemporary players, as we as premiering works by Israeli composers. He performs regularly in various festivals, including the Lucerne festival, Mänttä music festival (Finland) and Lincoln center’s annual focus festival, combining traditional and contemporary works in a highly versatile manner.
Imri Talgam was born in Jerusalem in 1987 and began his music studies in the Tel-Aviv conservatory at the age of 6. His B.A. Degree awarded Summa cum laude by the Buchmann-Mehta school of music (Tel-Aviv /University), included Organ studies with Mr. Alexander Gorin, graduating in 2008 in the class of Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky, with several prizes and scholarships.
During 2009 he studied with Matti Raekallio at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. His studies ( M.Mus.) concluded with Raekallio and Robert McDonald at the Juilliard School of music in 2012. Along with his musical activities, Imri has pursued philosophy and aesthetics studies in both the Tel-Aviv University and Columbia University.
