Nadav Cohen was born in Israel in 1983. He began his bassoon studies with Uzi Shalev. Nadav graduated Bachelor degree both in bassoon (With Mauricio Paez) and composition (With Prof. Yinam Leef) at the Jerusalem Academy for Music and Dance (JAMD), as well as baroque bassoon studies with Donna Agrell in The Hague and post-graduate studies with Prof. Ole Kristian Dahl in Stavanger University, Norway.
Nadav served in the IDF as an Outstanding Musician between the years 2001-2004.
He was a recipient of AICF scholarships for bassoon, chamber music and composition studies, as well as from the Ronen foundation and the JAMD president's award.
Nadav attended master classes with Klaus Thunemann, Sergio Azzolini and Marc Vallon. In addition he participated in festivals in Israel, U.S.A. and Europe.
Nadav was a principle player of the Israeli Camerata Jerusalem orchestra and a member of the Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble. Today he is a member of Tel-Aviv Woodwind Quintet and Meitar Ensemble.
He performed as a soloist with the Ashdod symphony orchestra and on baroque bassoon with the orchestra of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
