Anja Schödl, Music education

Anja, born in 1988, takes her A-Levels at the Gabrieli-Gymnasium in Eichstätt. Afterward she studied in Erlangen, Munich and Würzburg to become a teacher in anglistics, geography and history. In addition she studied musicology and music education with Karla-Maria Cording, Prof. Barbara Metzger und Prof. Dr. Friedhelm Brusniak.
Several internships consolidate Anjas schedule to become a teacher. In 2010/2011 she was a trainee in the education-team at the Laeiszhalle and Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, where she worked with Dr. Christoh Becher, Annika Schmitz and Sandra Hoffmann as well as with enthusiastic children. There she was convinced of the perfect symbiosis of music, concert and education – music education.
Since then Anja was instrumental in doing the conception, the organisation and realization of different workshops, concerts for children or music theatres for the Elbphilharmonie and for the Mozart-Festival in Würzburg.
Anja plays piano and saxophone since she was a child and she collected experiences in many choirs (e.g.: Monteverdi-choir Würzburg), orchestras and as a répétiteur and conductor.
