Philipp Lamprecht, Percussion

Born 1984 in Meran (Italy) his first education was in the hotel business. 2003 he changed his profession with the successful access at the Mozarteum University of Music and Dramatic Arts. Studying in Salzburg with Prof. Dr. Peter Sadlo was very supporting to Philipp Lamprecht's musical development.
He earned first international recognition by winning the International Percussion Competition Luxembourg 2005 (IPCL) with a percussion quartet and henceforth playing concerts in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Taiwan. The Austrian and German television and radio broadcast several live-performances of the group (ZDF, MDR, SWR, Ö1).
As a soloist and chamber music artist Philipp Lamprecht concentrates on contemporary music. The musician's repertory contains works of the 20th century and is also enlarged by regular cooperation and interaction with composers of our time (Younhee Chung, Marco Döttlinger, Reinhard Febel, Herbert Grassl, Jürgen Neuhofer, etc.).
Since 2007 Philipp Lamprecht is member of the contemporate music ensemble “Windkraft Tirol”. In 2008 he founded a duo for contemporate and medieval music together with recorder player Anne-Suse Enßle with whom he regularly performs on stage. In the same year the artist also began to compose music. Ever since he wrote music for different occasions, including chamber music pieces, stage music and music accompanying digital photography slide shows.
