Lunzhen Li, Oboe

Li Lun zhen was born in Zhengzhou City, China. Since 1992 he studied oboe with Mr.Gu Chun Lin and Professor Zhu and was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing in 2000. He played in the China Youth Symphony Orchestra and performed among others in Xi'an, Puyang, Guangdong and in the World University Games opening ceremony in 2001.
After his graduation in 2004 he studied a master’s degree with Pro. Zhu dun at the Central Conservatory of Music. At the end of the year he was selected to participate in Jacky Cheung’s creative musical play named "Xuelanghu" band, which included a world performance tour. In 2005 he was selected by the renowned conductor Seiji Ozawa and entered Keio Seiji Ozawa Music. From September to October he participated at the performances conducted by Seiji Ozawa in China and Japan.
Since his university time he became principal oboe of the new air Chamber Orchestra. He was invited to perform many times at celebrations of international festivals. He performed in various ensembles such as the German Philharmonic Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra and in 2008 he became principal oboe and faculty of EOS Orchestra Academy at Central conservatory of music in Beijing. In 2009 he was selected into the Asian Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Myung-Whun Chung and Worldwide Chinese Festival Orchestra performed in Beijing.
During his university years he got guidance from many international experts such as Jacques Tys, Alex Klein, Hansjörg Schellenberger, Jonathan Kelly, Ernest Rombout, Jonathan.Small, Herbert, Fumiaki Miyamoto, Wang Liang and Peter Lukas Graf and Mr.SongLam Yiu Arts Lecturer from Hong Kong Academy for Performing.
In 2010 he was selected into Contempo Primo Masterclass project with the tutor Nina Janssen and Christian Hommel and participated at the International Ensemble Modern Academy at Festival Klangspuren Schwaz in 2011.
