Francisco José Naranjo Reyes, Oboe

Francisco José Naranjo Reyes was born on the 17th of October 1981 in Santiago de Chile. In 2003, he began his higher graded oboe studies with Prof. Rodrigo Herrera at the Faculty of Arts of the Universidad de Chile, which he successfully concluded in 2007. Until 2009, he complemented his education with the participation in the Master of Music course at the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe with Prof. Thomas Indermühle - there he also studied baroque oboe with Susanne Regel and chamber music with Kristian Nyquist. In 2008, Francisco Naranjo took part in the Internationale Darmstädter Ferienkurse für Neue Musik, the FBO Freiburg Akademie and the Prague Spring Festival. During this time he was holder of the DAAD-Conicyt scholarship for advanced studies of the Hochschule für Musik in Karlsruhe.

Since 2009, Francisco Naranjo is taking part as a soloist in the Master of Arts in Specialized Music Performance coursefor classical music at the Berner Hochschule für Kunst with Prof. Jaime González. At the same time, he played at the Händel Akademie 2009. Since 2010 he is extensively concentrating on playing concerts: he was accepted as oboe player to Yehudi Menihin Live Music now Oberrhein, played a tour throughout Germany with the Philharmonie der Nationen, conducted by Justus Franz and did placements at the Bieler Symphoniker Orchester and the Suisse Jura Symphonie Orchester.

In the year 2010/11, Francisco José Naranjo Reyes holds a scholarship of the International Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt, Germany.
