Arlette Probst, Bassoon

Arlette Probst, born in 1984, received her first bassoon teachings from Matthias Bühlmann at the Musikschule Münchenstein (Suisse) at the age of 14, after she had been playing the flute for several years. In 2004, she began her studies at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste with Giorgio Mandulesi and graduated in 2008. Additionally, she received lessons from Urs Dengler, solo bassoon player of the Zürcher Oper. After that, she went to Hannover to do advanced studies in the courses of Prof. Dag Jensen, where she graduated in 2010.

In 2007, Arlette Probst gained the second prize at the "Concours National d'Execution Musicales de Riddes". She took part in mastercourses with Richard Galler and was participant of the Ensemble Modern Academy in Schwaz in 2009 and the Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt.

Arlette Probst was a member of the Suisse Youth Symphonie Orchestra and played in the orchestra of the Zürich Opera and in the Symphonie Orchestra Zürich, among others. In the season of 2009/10, she was trainee in the Göttingen Symphonie Orchestra.
