Boglárka Pecze

Boglárka Pecze was born in Baja, Hungary in 1986 and began playing the clarinet when she was nine years old. In 2004 she commenced her studies at the Conservatory in Pécs and has studied under Reiner Wehle in Lübeck since 2005. She recently won the international competition “Carlino”, and was one of the award winners at a national competition of New Music in Hungary.

She developed her performance skills in several master classes, taught by Thomas Friedli, Charles Neidich, János Maczák, Béla Kovács, Jörg Widmann and Eduard Brunner, among others. The clarinettist has received prizes and scholarships from numerous organizations, including the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation, the DAAD, YEHUDI MENUHIN Live Music Now, Junge Initiative Kammermusikstiftung Hamburg and “Jugend Kulturell” in Hamburg.

Pecze has played for audiences in Germany, Hungary, China, Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic in numerous solo and chamber music performances. She has also performed in concerts at various festivals, including the International Music Festival in Shanghai, Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Brahms Festival and Summer Music Festival in Bad Kissingen.

Boglárka Pecze regularly collaborates with contemporary composers and participates in world premieres. This year she has played together with the Ensemble Resonanz and the Ensemble 21.
